Firstly, I apologise to all for my "colourfull descriptiveness" in my reply earlier. I was having a bad hair day today
Paul,
On several occasions I have reported them by passing on their rego to FishWatch but Im told all the so called "inspectors" could do is have a chat to them and warn them of the consiquences "IF" they are caught red handed.
Its like they wouldnt believe you in what you have seen.
Thats my point and you said it as well,
the Govt is all about enforcing the rules but its very rare you hear that someone has been caught. Also there are not the required number of inspectors to police all the ramps/beaches.
I emailed Fisheries and asked if they had a scheme whereby I could become a "part time" inspector. The answer was a flat NO. All I could do was
(in their words) to educate anyone I saw doing the wrong thing.
Do you realy think that would work????????? NOT And as for the photo gallery here for fishing, your dead right. I posted several months ago mentioning this and showing a pic of what was an outright discracefull amount of fish caught in one day.
Its these people who are stuffing it up for the majority of us who do the right thing. These pictures should not be allowed to be posted here or on any other site.
Or better still, maybe the guys at Seabreeze could pass their details onto Fisheries. MMMMMMMMM that would sort them out.
Cheers.
