Just moved to the West and figure I need to make this afternoon wind my friend.

Hope i can get some feedback on taking up Kiteboarding.

Obviously lessons are essential. How many hours is recomended?

Is a leaner kites (which you learn on land with) necessery or having lessons only enough. I have no experience flying kites (or board riding for that matter).

As for equipment?? I am 6'3 and 92kg. Is it best to have a small kite, big board or visa versa? Should i buy new or used? How much? Anything else i need to know?

Thanks very much in advance,

Chomson

windsurfing kicks arse if u are into the speed and fun side of things and the feeling of being free i dont like the thought of pushing water the whole time on a kite board

yeah windsurfings more fun but kiting is wayyyyyy easier. Its like skiing and snowboarding, skiing like windsurfing takes a while to be good, snowboarding like kiting takes about 3 days before you can go pro!![}:)]

Windsurfing is awesome if you can't get a kite. And like looking into a big sail all the time, and taking years to learn.
wooo sound fun hey.
