Indian sounding chick calls and says she is from the Australian Tax Office. My name and phone number have been randomly drawn and I have won $7000.

I asked her what MY name is, seeing as though the ATO knows me and has drawn out my name.
Long pause (she is obviously reading the script she's given with answers and can't find one lol). so I asked again
"OK sir I spell name for you T - A - H - Q ..."
I cut her off and said "nice try, I really want my $7000 so can you tell me MY tax file number"

Rank beginner hung up.

I've had similar posing as my phone company. Yada yada they're giving me a new phone for being such a valuable customer they just need my details such as name, address and phone number.

Are people really that dumb?
