Windsurfing is more commonly searched term, in some regions by far.
Both
are decreasing, windsurfing faster than kitesurfing.
The gap is closing.

That might having something to do with all the other weird stuff other than stand up paddling that comes up when you search SUP...
Try this:

You can see that THIS is also much more popular then both poling and bagging:

Hardly surprising given the lack of wind on the west coast this year.
If I didn't already have surfing a scuba diving to keep me busy I'd probably have gone over to the dark side by now and bought an SUP [}:)]

but when i searched, kitesurf was waaaay more popular than poleboard or sailboard
