I used to live next door to an asian bloke who grew grafted bowen mangos - tons and tons from a couple of tiny little trees. He used to give us a crate full every now and then and we said ta Mr Ta... yummm

My best mango memory....

30 years ago I was skinny dipping with a couple girlies in the Mulgrave River, high steep bank on one far side with thick rain forrest, every now and again a mango would fall into the river from an unseen tree. I thought wow how could it get any better than this

And it didn't

I reckon tropical fruit is overrated. Too much perfume. Honestly when was the last time you had an apple picked straight from a tree. Gets my vote.

But if you are using eating mango as a metaphor....

Mangoes are where its at - full stop.

They are as sexy as fruit gets, even just ahead of that most phalic of fruits the pen er.. banana.

Oranges I don't dig but have to confess they are pretty spesh right now and have even graced my normally orange free palate recently.

But Mangoes are where its at..
