The C6 base corvette was released in 2005. The ZR1 is the ultimate road corvette of the C6. It's good to see the ZR1 re-introduced in vette's line up but I reckon they should've used the Z06 7L donk and then added the blower [}:)]

With the new GTR confirmed to be released here and the inbuilt ease of L/R hand drive conversion of the C6 GM could feel some pressure to release the vette here.

Hijacking the thread- check out the new GT-R's quarter mile times...

Even at $130-160,000 it will be a bargain.

A bit of boost or some turbo changes and

Yeah but they'd still get a pitiful 100hp / L ..... that is bl00dy ordinary for forced induction, even with Kalifornia's emmissions laws. A stock Corolla 1.6 did almost 90hp/L in 1988........and my nicely worked TX3 had 230kW from 1.9L ( @30psi though hehehe)

I've had a look and nobody does roof racks for it so it is on hold for now, I'll stick with my Mitsubishi Challenger 4WD

The Honda boys will latch on to your 100hp/L statement as I think the various type R's have all done for quite some time and nat. aspirated at that.

Don't need roof racks, Z- vettes are carbon/aluminium so you can chuck your salty windsurfing gear straight in the hatch. It'll love it

Chevvy have probably gone smaller cube forced induction due to california's fascist car laws.
