Not sure if anyone else looked at the last image in the article from the West today http://www.thewest.com.au/default.aspx?MenuID=77&ContentID=75806 and like me, realised that the northern end of the proposed Freo development will create one HUGE flat water arena in a SWster.
They also plan on creating another artificial reef for us surfers.
It would be kinda cool if it did. They could put the new footy stadium on it. How awesome would that be!! Apart from that, not a good idea. Flat water??pfft[}:)]
I hope it doesn’t happen, seriously how fken retarded is it to "create" an island, if it was a 10 billion dollar thermal power project in the middle of the desert then I would be stoked!
there is already an island off the perth coast, it's called Rottnest and its a f***NG disgrace that should be developed before they go redeveloping freo surely ?? or maybe there really are people who want to live in million dollar appartments overlooking a major international working port ? people in bunbury do nothing but complain about the port they live near and I'm sure gero will be the same once Oakejee is built.
