I left Perth to head North for Karratha. Along the way I stopped in at Port Denison. Surfed head high spooky waves breaking into deep dark water. Being on your own out there doesnt help. So I paddled further south closer to the reef and got smaller waves. A balls in mouth take off with a short ride. Still no one around but two fishermen to celebrate with me. The next day I found myself on a Gnaraloo... I mean gnarly track which was corrigated and had insane puddles. Not just little puddles but puddles that fills into your car and stalled the engine. I was scared. For the really deep puddles that not even 4wd attempt there were tracks that went around them through the scrub but you had to go over the high sides of the track. I have a commodore wagon. I kept scrapping the bottom trying to get off the track then get stuck. After a good two hour battle with the terrain I arrived to head and half pearlers! I was in heaven! Only three other blokes out. Then two went in leaving me and the other bloke out for the rest of the late afternoon glass off. Barrel after barrel after barrel. Oh and did I mention barrel? One of the best surfs I've had in a long time. Thank you Juice for a sweet stick and most of all thanks to the "Camp Of The Moon" for turning it on. I then got to Corel Bay and hated it! No surf, no wind, just a capcicum that cost me five bucks! So I did a runner from the caravan park. Hehehe... suckers. Next stop was Exman's territory. Looking out I see three blokes getting some mad waves a long way offshore. As I was paddling out they passed me paddling in. Now I was nervous. Big long waves in sharky waters and a brown turd in my shorts. Yes I said shorts. I got some intense waves and some intense wipeouts. I then decided it was all too much as my mind was playing tricks on me. Noah was close I'm sure of it. So I paddled south to a smaller friendly wave. The crystal blue waters with turtles swimming around made the paddle back to shore worth it. Not to mention I once again had the waves all on my own. Where was everyone on the past four days? Uncrowded surf. Just magic. Now I'm covered in sweat and red dirt not from leisure activities but from work in the Pilbara...

Hi,
I run a small caravan park up north, perhaps youv'e heard of it... about your bill...

I am prepared to cop it sweet on tight wad runners such as yourself but it was the brown streaked shorts you left behind that went too far!!!

A thousand hungry noahs will be waiting for the in next lineup!

Sounds like some tasty toobs - lucky smelly shorted sodd.
