And the funny thing is that parents don't realise you don't need a private education for your kid to turn out well. All they need is a good upbringing and work ethic and that guess who teaches that, the parents.

simply put, it doesn't allow for the diversity in peer culture one would find in the public system.....with public system the culture between kids can get quite negative as it has to cater for all in society...

Funnily enough, I worked with a guy a few years back that lived in the same area, around the same age, but he went to a private school and I went to a public school.
Its a very multi-cultural area, and he was telling me of 'race-riots' and wars between people at his school. At my school, we had the usual fight or two, but no 'race-riots'. We just got along.
So, tell me again how negative the culture between kids can get with a public system?
Sure, I do agree it can have problems when there are the dregs of society trying to bring others down, but private still has problems.
