Lets see how long this post lasts.

I have been following the Raymond Davis story since he was arrested in Pakistan for shooting two men.

The United States claim that he was a diplomat.

Standard issue diplomat Glock and additional arms found in his car along with GPS holding coordinates of schools and places of worship, makeup equipment and telescope to aid his diplomacy.

Now been released after compensation paid to his family as claimed by Pakistanis, denied by the US.

Of course he would not have been stirring up trouble, we do not do that sort of thing, we of the coalition.

Not farking much. Google Imran Khan for his opinion - we know he played with a straight bat.

This guy is a United States Funded terrorist.

His function was to keep the insurgency in Pakistan on the boil. The Pakistani ISI had woken up to him and the two guys he shot were ISI operatives that were tailing him on motor bikes.

The US originally claimed that Raymond Davis was a dipomat. When it became stark staringly obvious that he was not a diplomat they changed their story and claimed he was CIA. Turns out he is a contracter for what was Blackwater working for the CIA.

In the incident the two guys were shot by Davis, seven shots, seven hits, and his companions in an accompanying car collided with and killed a pedestrian. They fled the scene in their vehicle, leaving Davis at the scene which is highly unusual, and speculation is is that the four wheel drive they were using was full of something that was going to cause severe repercussions if it were found. They were using two vehicles because the four wheel drive was not going to come back.

The wife of one of the guys he killed commited suicide shortly afterward.

Davis was held in police custody until yesterday when he was released after the American government suddenly saw fit to recognise Sharia law and pay, reportedly, $750,000 to each family. Hilarious Clinton refutes this.

Whilst we see very little of this in our press the Pakistanis know the full story and they are understandably somewhat peeved. I don't know about you guys, but if it happened here I would "take to the streets".

Imran Khan, who has become very politically active is speaking out about it, for which he will probaly end up in a box before his time.

That will be a shame because he is a man who has more integrity than most and one whom I admire a lot.

oh but japie don't you know it does happen here.

something about a certain primeminister disappearing for daring to stand ground and a massacre commited by a dimwit loner who thought he was pleading guilty to a traffic offence...

now enough of this conspiracy rubbish

you might cause people to question or think

besides its footy season

Another example of America sticking its snout in an area where it doesn't belong. They are wring their hands at the 'civilian' deaths in Libya but don't give a damn about civilian deaths in Pakistan coz they are the ones with the finger pulling the trigger.

Amazing that a country whose cities are collapsing and is becoming bankrupt can afford to keep causing trouble throughout the world. Actually the American government can't afford it.

I read if the American federal government did not spend a cent on anything besides federal pensions and kept taxes at the same level they are today they would pay off their debt in the year 2025. No money for the armed forces, politicians, civil servants, law enforcement. Nothing and about 15 years to pay off the debt. In other words they will never pay it off.

The fiscal situation actually gets worse on a state level in the USA as all states are in debt with the debt ratio to income are much higher than at a federal level. Plus the states can't ask the Federal Reserve to print out a few trillion dollars. On the local/municipal level the financial situation is about as bad for most cities.

Despite this they can somehow rustle up a few million dollars to pay off the families of the victims.

Hmm an interesting read:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raymond_Allen_Davis_incident

As an aside, 2 Raymond Davis' have been awarded congressional medals of honour in American history, and our shooter was allegedly using a false name - coincidence or CT?

PS: Yes I recognise the complete irony of referencing wikipedia links in this context.

Perhaps we need more of these 2 guys enforcing the law around the world (but that's a whole other story...)

Lol, nice segway into water sports

But do you accuse him of the most heinous crime of all - wearing boardshorts over his wetsuit?

^^Wow, I would not normally follow up on a Wikepedia current political event as they are known to be a bit dodgy but thanks for that link. Everything I posted was from memory, but really the details do not matter that much as the known facts indicate culpability.

Imran Khan has made a brilliant video where he interviews Pakistani upper class students that come from the same environment as himself. Most are disillusioned and on the nail with current events. He interviews a couple of very, very attractive, eloquent and intelliigent university students, (Doggie) who express in no uncertain terms what they think of the whole deal.

He then goes into the outback and talks to business owners and influential folk in villages. Their whole way of life has been destroyed by the IMF to the degree where folk are starving.

These guys are no different to you and I. They are just being given a very raw deal and we are partially responsible.

If you are interested enough in the subject you can find it on Veterans Today. He has signed up as a contirbutor.

I found it very inspiring.

Imran's after political career is going throw a shadow over his on field exploits.
