Rockwiz (cause I have no life and am home most Sat nights)
Spicks n Specs
Footy (AFL - not that butt sniffing or girly faking a fall type)

Ummm... that's about it. The rest of the time I am just aggravating my wifey skipping channels every minute or so hoping by some miracle a new channel has appeared in the last minute with something interesting.. it never has.. but I keep hoping

Oh actually Friday night on SBS is usually (ahem) interesting (Hot docs)

I am a sucker for doc (hot and otherwise). I am also a sucker for SBS films (ditto). Don't ask me why but I am always drawn into other language films as the sesnibilities are so differant. They also seem to be so much more important and meaningful.. until you get to the end of half of them and realise it was just French/German/Korean art toss! Still you usually get a nice eyeful or two to keep you happy.

I recently got one of those cable packages with the recorder. Finally actually worth getting cable as you can finally watch all the shows you bought it for. Can set it all remotely via their web TV guide too. Very slick.

F1 is so much better with fast forward.

If I had to pick one at the moment, from the top of my dome, "Family Guy".

I've really got into Dexter and six feet Under both produced by a bloke called Alan Ball (famed for American Beauty) onto the last season (5) of Six Feet Under and have consumed Dexter greedily, Season 4 starts in Sept.

Also got a thing for Documentary's esp. Louis Theroux who is genius.
He did this one about Jimmy Saville a while ago which Jimmy reckons he wants to be played at his Funeral.

Kids shows. They seem to be churning out so much crap for adults, but the kids shows are well made, entertaining and funny for parents too.
Why is every second adult show about a murder investigation?

He just released a docco called "A place for Peadophillles" which looked at how some sex offenders are locked up indefinitely in a "rehab unit" despite having already served their time for their offenses in mainstream jails.
Really fkn interesting.

Alas Dexter was great for 2 seasons and got a bit stoopid near the end of the 2nd, I am reliably informed goes downhill at a frantic rate in the 3rd.

6 feet under was tops. Great end to the series too, before it went cr@polla.

i think we're all talking the same language here.

big fan of dexter and louis theroux, louis' weekend at the brothel was a cracker.

the doco's that got me into doco's were from Nick Broomfield.

I hate to admit it but I watch Peep Show on ABC2 on Thursday nights.

It doesn't seem to be as good as the earlier episodes, but still cringe-worthy tv!

Big Bang Theory (shame not on anymore)
Two and a Half Men

For action:

The Unit (shame not on anymore)

But for informative and p!ss funny - The Gruen Transfer was tops! Hoping for another series.

Thursday night, L&A on 10 then later on SBS, Oz and there is no way I would miss Tony Martin and Alex Dimetriades in "Wild Side" on ABC.

Unfortunately Oz and W.S. overlap a little.

"Underbelly" has been great too with some really good up and coming young actors.

Anybody watched the full "Canal Road" series? You can still download it from ninemsn. Great Aus television production. Up there with the rest of the world.

Rove, Spics & Specs, Glass House, Good News Week and the Wiggles just don't do it for me. I'd rather David Dork Letterman. At least he makes no pretensions to being clever or funny. It's like "I may be a dickhead, but I AM on EVERY night and I can pull whoever I want onto the show." He had the "Cat Empire" on last year, so that gives him some class.

Funky-Panda..... I go with you...... gyes
The Yanky way of doing things is not a patch on the European.....even with subtitles. Continental seen to do better camera work, treat subjects from a different perspective, and their actors are virtually unknown and uninhibited.
However, Russian women are not my perfect woman, and when they star i sometimes wonder, why they were ever put on this planet, or maybe its the way their men treat them. Makes me cringe.

+1 for Trailer Park Boys... the acting was rubbish in the first season or two but they started learning after that. Also there's a second movie coming out soon "He's hookin - he's hooking fer cheeseburgers again"

Also some other favourites of ours from channel BT..
Weeds
The wire (takes a bit of committment to get into it, but worthy)
Skins

Entourage (Ari rules, not to mention the eye candy factor)

Gonna be watching "We Can Be Heroes" on Comedy Channel at 9pm... again. My DL'd version wasn't the best.

Which raises a question:
If it was made by ABC can I get it legally via torrent? Or if it was ever on Cable, and I just forgot to record it/missed it? I have paid for it.

Sure do. Did Adam really get killed tonight or is there some miraculous escape, or has he gone over to the other side???
