I know this has already been said but it is really starting to get to me.

I think they should be gotten rid of- keep the green ones if you must but red thumbs need to go....

They are negative and not necessarily a true indication of the validity of ones post or points.

Please Laurie, make Seabreeze a happy place again- with sunshine and lollipops and enough wind for all.

You could argue that pink is sexist and does not cater for males ability to distinguish between right and wrong; universal unisex colours.

Some of the time the thumbs are just inaccurate and just because someone/ many might not like you, you cop it in thumbs even when it is a decent post...

Not as bad as this though....

TEACHERS have been told to stop marking schoolchildren's work with red pen because it is an "aggressive" colour.

Queensland's Deputy Opposition Leader Mark McArdle told parliament today that teachers were being advised to reconsider their pen choice because it may offend children.

HAHA bite me! I'll still be using red pen... I'll just warn the children that the red pen could be seen as aggressive, and if it attacks them, to let me know...

I stopped caring a long time ago about red thumbs and their relationship with popularity as you mention. Voice your opinion anywhere, and people will always judge you; just here, it is publicly displayed.

Did you see that youtube.com recently added red/green thumbs to their comments?

Here's another thumbing discussion...

you're welcome,
and i imagine you were a model student, maybe that's why you have a low tolerance to red pen/thumbs.

anyway have another green thumb, I'm giving them away, just to prove they serve no real purpose, but also to spread the love.

I didn't think behaviour and assessment results were related? I got some pretty good marks at school (except in English) and rarely saw red pen, but was in trouble all the time anyway...

Geoff u feeling a little precious still about your red thumbs? Poor little fella, sounds like someone needs a hug, he he.

Who cares if someone gives u a red thumb. People can give me as many as they want. Its not going to stop me from having my say and getting my point across. Does anyone take any notice of them? Other than u geoff.
