I live across the road from their coach and have been following them since I was a tacker. I've been wanting to swap teams for a few years. As a Richmond supporter, you need to have a second team - the inconsistency is too much for me to bear. However, a win is a win and I'll stick by them for another season.

I really feel for all other Richmond supporters, it's like you are forever caught on the inside.

THis years AFL season is soo unpredictable. When I put my tips in last friday I thought it looked like an easy round to pick.

I shouldnt have bothered putting my tips in this week and just got all the away teams by default

Pigs @rse - that is win WIN!

Poor old tigers - they had to have cheat sheets with the team song lyrics.

Sigh.. time to hybernate for poor fellow Eagles fans. Taking nothing away from the Tigers, they have been improving every week and have a genuine talent in Reiwoldt (and others), but the Eagles are a pathetic rabble with footskiils most school girls would surpass.

Bye bye Woosha - thanks for the good times but it is time for a coach who can keep up with the modern game (and not select inept skilled doofus' every week).

Hello Dean Ladley.. doing anything next year? With some luck a new selection committeee will also be on board.

geez your tough Funky

As a former resident of WA, I have a huge admiration for woosha

As for Sumo - he shoulda stuck to the fruit and veg game

BTW - one of my favourite footy memories was watching a young (in his first season of footy) Byron Pickett clean up Woosh at Subi - i wanted to book the ambulance for the young bloke before contact was made but it was the other way around. It was a great lesson that timing in ANY sport is everything

Don't get me wrong - I have a certain amount of man-love for Woosh - but even in their prime the coaching was not a strong point in the Eagles games.

Woosh has overseen a continual decline in the skills of the team accross the board, season after season, to the point that they are the worst team in the league in many aspects. They turn the ball over more than any other team and just are not capable of playing with enough spirit to counter that any more.

Woosh has been lucky that his club legend status has saved him until this point but really he should be the one suggesting it is time to move on, rather than making it a messy situation for the club and players.

There are far better options out there (if Ladley - or even Roos as was floated today) are available.

As for Suma, those in the know say he is smarter than he seems (not hard really) but for over a decade the Eagles have never really had a functioning forward line by other teams standards. They have been blessed with good small forwards (Matera, Le Cras etc) but the 'bomb and hope for best' strategy is 20 yrs out of date. Of course when your midfield can't hit the side of a big red barn then that doesn't help. Kenedy is handy, Le Cras brilliant, but the team and game plan just aren't functioning.

Change is due and Woosh has nothing to be embarrssed about with 3 premiership appearances and two wins as a player/captain and another 2 for one/won as a coach.

Anyway enough of my rant. It must feel good (at last) to be a Tigers fan again. Might even give the 8 a shake next year. Great timing with no draft priority for the cellar dwellers over the next few yrs.

BTW - I'd be better about getting flogged every week if I could just get out for a kite!
