I could not help thinking that if he hit one of those concrete bollards head on that silver helmet would reappear out his bum!

We used to do that as kids on bicycles in the 60s coming down Mt Cootha in Brisbane, about six of us together.
Mason was mad though. His bike was fixed wheel, no brakes and he would overtake the cars.
