try this.

1) press mode/set to advance to tide set mode

2)press and hold thelap/reset for 2 secs to enter beach setting mode

3) toggle between regions using start /stop and lap/reset

4)when you find your desired region press mode /reset

5)use start/stop and lap reset to toggle through to your desired country

6)press mode/set to lock in your country

7)use start/stop to toggle through to your desired beach

8)press and hold mode/ set for 2 secs to to save selected beach.

Thanks Jezza but mine's different,a bit older i think. kearnsy,the modes are NT,AL,TM,CH,FT,DT,FT2. Haven't found a 'beach setting mode 'or 'regions'.My buttons are bottom left MODE,bottom right STR/STP,top right LAP/RESET.You got the same?Thanks.

No , Mine is 3.5 years old and just changed the battery last month. I have had digital (RC) tide watches before and hav'nt noticed any thing too bad....

Thats correct - only if you want your warranty still. THe earlier models were notourious for faults however thier pretty good these days. I had my battery changed at my local shopping center and hav'nt had a problem. No leaks.

If ur going through soo many batteries try not looking at the time so often

yes!
