In 1965 Stevie Wright had it off with Gracie Lory who won the Radio 4IP (Ipswich, Queensland) competition for a date with "The Easybeats".

A couple of weeks before I took Gracie up into my empty dormitory at Ipswich Boy's Grammar School during the school dance and I was too stupid to do anything about it despite being told earlier by one of the day boys that "She bangs like an outhouse door in a cyclone." She was a spunk too.

I often wonder how my life would be today if either one of us had taken the initiative that night.
