How does one tell if they have a suspicious looking spot on there skin?
Check the following.

If you see anything similar go see your Doctor ASAP and get a professional opinion.

Third pic down - black toe nail. Guy at work got a black toe nail without remembering if he stubbed it or not. Left it for a few months before getting checked. Was dead 3yrs later - and sadly, he suffered badly during that time.

if in doubt go get checked...

If you are over about 25, and have never had a proper check from a skin specialist, go and do it !!

It is cheap, or free ! A small investment of your time.... And it could potentially save your life.

In Geelong, Myers Street Family Medical Centre, 148 Myers, 5229 5192.

115.178.19.90/~msfmcom/Skin_Checks.php

Google "Skin Checks", and it will come up with a skin clinic close to you too....
Here's a link..... Let Me Google That For You (LMGTFY!!)
lmgtfy.com/?q=skin+checks (maybe add a town name on the end..., Manly, Perth, etc..)

Most of the Skin Clinics are staffed by GP's - nothing wrong with that but they are NOT the experts!!!

Do yourself a favour and go to your GP every couple of years and get a referral to a dermatoligist for an EXPERT opinion and in between times use the Skin/Mole Clinics.

The number of misdiagnosed or missed altogether skin cancers may not be high but wouldn't you hate to be the one that ends up with the BIG C because you didn't go to the expert ????

Any check is better than no check though......
