Going there at Christmas has anyone sailboarded out there before ? What's it like?

A few guys go up there sailing TS,s. Flukey winds because of the hills that surround it. Xmas, the dam will be full of water skiers and power boats so be careful with the sailboard. As per Moreton Bay, don,t think these guys know the road rules .Enjoy though it is a great place

it gets really choppy up there when the wind does pick up, usually a lot of the skiers will leave the water when that happens

I have heard that the maintenance divers hate going down at the dam wall because the eels down there are humongous.

It should be good for sailboarding though as it is a fairly steep sided valley and the wind will funnel through strongly in one direction or the other.
