"Surreptitious Fabric"?

OK people this is a Terry Pratchett fan/music buff quiz.

I've just finished "Soul Music" and fair enough I get the obvious ones like "The Whom", "Lead balloon" and "Grateful Death" but "Surreptitious Fabric" had me scratching my head for days.

I began to think Mr Pratchett's sense of humour extended to conning his readers into spending many hours searching for an answer to a puzzle that doesn't exist.!

But on the drive to Margaret River today a likely candidate occurred to me.
No I'm not going to say what it is just yet.

I'd like to hear from you smart people out there, and see if anybody else comes up with the same band. If anybody does, I'll take it as confirmed.

have you read mort, thats a good one, didnt know about this novel though its related to mort so gona have to get it, currently reading a new ben elton book.

The whole diskworld series is worth reading.
If you like Mort, you'll like the rest.
I'm rereading the one about Aus at the moment (Last Continent), of cause there a roo named "Scrappy"
