To settle a bet, am I the only bloke that ever listened to TSOL (True Sounds of Liberty) ?
A band around the late 80's Era.
A good surf movie came out with them as there soundtrack showing 25 ft Waimea. I can't recall the name of the movie. You'd be a champ if you can name it.

Along with Gangajang

I want to hear that tape again,,,time to do some googleing.

They use to play TSOL in the 80's early 90's in a surfers local hang out/night club grungie sess pit on the gold coast ..Beach Road,,,I think it was called.
Everyone had long hair, sunday dollar drinks night come as you are in boardies and a singlet and mosh/body slam to music like TSOL, Perl Jam, Suicidal Tendencies, Nirvana, Mother love Bone, Rollens, Celibet Rifles, Black Flag, Body Count...Holy crap,,,remember Body Count

Ahhhh....what happend to grundge nights.

oh,,cant forget about Radio Birdman, Beasts of Bourbon, Pixies, Butthole Surfers, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains........I had forgotten about half these bands, now I want to hear them.

+1

Although off the top of my head, I can't think of one song they did.

thanks guys.
I had a feeling I was'nt alone.
Some of those 80's surf movies had great soundtracks that stick in your head forever.
What Gangajang did for Mad Wax as well as the Performers soundtrack.

^^^^^"Its too late,to be my lover",,,,whooohooooooo....I havent heard that since, well, late 80's, but just watched that and sang nearly every word.Cant beleive I could remember most of the words to a song I havent heard for 20 odd years.
Cheers for posting it.

Remember the surf vids "The Last Surf Movie" and
"Son of The Last Surf Movie"
Good tunes on them as well.

Ah True Sounds Of Liberty. Awesome stuff. Part of the soundtrack to my down south exploits in my younger days. Along with Gangajang, Radiators, Sunny Boys, Lime Spiders and Kings Of the Sun to name a few.
