Telstra were involved first off... they have actually been quite helpful.

They've provided the IP ranges 2 days ago and told Trend that they are to be treated as static.
Trend are now complaining that the rDNS doesn't match the sending server - Telstra have change these as well (although not something I've ever had to get set before now)
The problem with how Trend are checking the rDNS is that it can only reference 1 IP address per domain - the server is hosting more than 1 domain so the rDNS lookup will still fail - thus get blocked by them.
What Trend are doing is the equivalent of declaring all snail mail from NSW is to be blocked because someone didn't put the return address on one envelope or someone in Sydney might send a can of spam in a parcel.
Its a ridiculous and over the top approach to reduce spamming.
