Anyone had success in reporting their carrier to the TIO?

I have had 2 years of fighting with Vodafone trying to get decent internet signal.

My data plan (3Gb) burns up so fast because I have to download the same file multiple times because the signal always breaks down.

Keep getting overcharges over $100 even though I check my credit daily. Ring India and receive no support, just broken promises.

Geez I hate them with a passion.

The only experience I've had was to mention the TIO when I hooked up with Vodafone on my mobile only to find I couldn't make or receive calls at my home (Perth) and wanted to ditch them for 3 again.

Sorted in less than a day. Not sure if the threat of the TIO was the main factor or not.

Good luck with that..........

They have started rolling out a new network that uses a different frequency, and the new network has better range. Are you using a phone or something else to access this?

They have released a new modem that uses the new network, and I think if you have problems and are in a coverage area for the new network, they can send you a new modem (I think). I would guess they would give you one for free if this is the problem with your reception.

If you are using a phone, what model is it?

There seems to be someone that reads the whirlpool forums from Vodafone, and I suspect that you might be able to get them to investigate your problem personally if you post on there. They can probably investigate what is the matter and help you out.

I have an iPhone 4.

I also have pocket wiFi.

I have lost count of the amount of complaints I have raised and the promises to investigate that they have never bothered with.

I just filed a complaint with TIO. Not paying any more money to VF.

Useless gits.

That will do you a lot of good.

Said on the radio today that they had over 190,000 complaints last year. By my reckoning that is one every 2.75 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you reckon the TIO can sort it out in less than 3 minutes (and you think they work 24 hours, 7 day weeks) then you may be in luck. Otherwise you probably just go on hold at the back of the queue.

yeah, had big probs with billing at telstra. getting 2 bills every month.
after 14 hours on the phone getting nowhere we contacted the tio. they gave us a contact of the high up person and said if its not fixed in 7 days to contact tio again.
got fixed up pretty quick after that, plus the threat of us billing admin costs stupid freakin telstra.

I have used them (TIO) a number of times and I kid you not it is like the magic password for service and solutions.

experience the joy of local helpful (scared?) phone company management calling YOU to solve your problems

mind you if we all use them they will have to outsource and we will be back to square one

I used the equivilent of the TIO in the UK after an ISP stuffed me around for months... kept a log of calls, time of calls etc and wrote letters (actual snail mail )... was worth it though... took them for over £2500, yes Pounds (Back when Sterling was worth something)

Document, Document, Document - cause when it comes to arbitration you KNOW they wont have anything to back up their claims and you win through their own incompetence [}:)] - which was what got you there in the first place

Email from TIO says don't pay bill until they sort out issue.

Yay! I'm outta here in 2 weeks to live OS for a couple of years.

I work in the Woodside building in Perth (CBD) I was with 3 until yesterday, I just couldn't put up with having no signal in the CBD, on the train, in the office.

I had to ask myself, what am I paying for here?

I am much happier with my new provider.

I think that's the only way you can win, leave. Dont forget to port your number.
