Yeah, I watched the whole thing.

Interesting how they did it. Kind of like a survivor format - not what I was expecting. It was watchable and entertaining, but by the end of it, I felt none the wiser.

Sure, you have sympathy for the refugees plight, but the program was very one sided and didn't tackle hard questions - ie: we know we got to take some of them, but how and where do we draw the line. You also knew at the start that the people/contestants would change their hard line views (they were kind of forced to)

Overall, my thoughts were that this was a propaganda film and yet another example of taxpayers money going down the drain.

I'll watch the wash up.

I watched all 3 episodes, and thought it was excellent TV - locally made Tprogramming at its best.

It was pretty disturbing to see that ex-army guy from Adelaide rounding up refugees while on that raid. In another time, another place, he might have been a Nazi collaborator war criminal.

Pretty interesting and thought provoking show but ultimately apathy will continue.

I don't think the Malaysian segment would have won too much support for the governments so called "Malaysian Solution". It seemed to me that quite a bit of restraint (or editing) was being exercised by the Malay authorities during the raid - for the cameras possibly!

Yeah that young liberal guy and his "keep right" T-shirts. He was the real eye opener for me in the whole show. And then in the wash up show the other night he was talking about his belief in the "liberal philosophy" (HA!) and how that informs his ideas about social justice and freedom of choice !!!!!(Jesus ****ing Christ)
