Is aluminium foil good enough?
How many layers should I use?
Should I make the whole hat out of foil or wrap a hat with foil?
Wouldn't a helmet be better?
Maybe some sort of composite with a fine copper mesh?
Did I tell you guys about the global conspiracy to form one world government by inventing global warming? Today was cooler than average! Cooler!

To quote from a great work of fiction by P.D. Eastman "Do you like my hat?"

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't like your hat!
and I am sick of looking at guy's in tinfoil hats....

It's always guys!!!...
Girlz would not do this..
We have enough common sense to know that
we don't need tin foil hats as the world will work with out men..
but not with out the brains of a woman.
So no one with any sense would corrupt a woman's brain.

Come on! Any self-respecting nut-job knows that carbon fiber is an invention by NASA and the CIA to make mind control easier. Copper mesh? You may as well just wire my brain up directly.

Cooler than average? No way. The other day it was the hottest day in 30 something years wasn't it? Before that 30 years you ask? No, that was before 'global warming' so it doesn't count...

A one world government would be great. We could also have a one world opposition and nothing would ever get done. If we hired more politicians then unemployment could be a thing of the past.

So, GD, are you saying there's nothing to shield?

I also suspect that the guys with tinfoil hats don't have a corresponding woman to tell them not to go out of the house wearing that hat.

All good, so long as it's actual tin foil.

Aluminium foil concentrates the government's mind control rays so it's easier for them to implant thoughts and control you.

True story!

My God! You're right!

I just checked out this paper-

On the Effectiveness of Aluminium Foil Helmets: An Empirical Study
http://people.csail.mit.edu/rahimi/helmet/

"we find that although on average all helmets attenuate invasive radio frequencies in either directions (either emanating from an outside source, or emanating from the cranium of the subject), certain frequencies are in fact greatly amplified. These amplified frequencies coincide with radio bands reserved for government use according to the Federal Communication Commission (FCC). Statistical evidence suggests the use of helmets may in fact enhance the government's invasive abilities. We speculate that the government may in fact have started the helmet craze for this reason."

Whilst I may or may not believe that there is a unified force out there conspiring to control mankind I do notice that global warming is slowly becoming climate change.

I guess with global warming you only have a 50% chance of being right, with climate change it is going to happen either way so you are bound to be right.

US fiscal collapse became a world financial crisis

Weapons of mass destruction became terrorism

I don't recall what acid rain or the ozone hole became, but I am sure they became something else.

Now - I am not saying any of these things are not real, I just wonder why the world committee can't generate the fear in the masses correctly first time ?

I would think they have had enough practice, from dragons to heretics and Islam to communisim to at least not have to change every fear-generating-passive-majority-control sytem half way through its term.

Its because the tin hats (not aluminium) keep foiling the transmissions.

that's because not everyone will get warmer... northern europe will get a lot colder if the jet stream slows

So which is more accurate :

Global warming climate change models for the next 50 years

windgraphs for tomorrow

I hope the climate change modellers are better than wind-predicterologists.

I heard that it is 49% likely to be warmer than average next year.

Who ever worked that out is really putting their balls and the line.

I am going to predict the wind will be 50% likely to be above average and 50% likely to be below average next week. whooooo risky prediction I know, but check the wind graphs and lets see .....

Actually, terrorism became WMD.
Acid rain is still acid rain, but it was one of the first major examples of industry being forced to take action on atmospheric pollution. Coal burning power stations now remove sulphuric oxides from their emissions.
The Ozone hole is still the ozone hole. The Montreal Protocol banned production of CFC's, and atmospheric concentrations are gradually declining, but recovery of the depleted ozone is a long way off.
