Can I go as far as saying that many people in the Rail Industry are "Retarded"! ??? (operators!)

Here's my view... and the situation... :
Sunny Winter Day (today), and PERFECT visibility... There's some wind, effecting a boom gate, on a long straight section of track... (seriously, wind...!! effecting a boom gate... OK, I can almost fathom that...)... So the train get delayed by 50 minutes! Are you FREAKIN' SERIOUS!? Mobilise some people onto Level Crossing, and SORT the ****ing thing out... A bit of old fashioned HUMAN signaling, and Traffic Management!... But NO... People aren't good enough... The Electronic Signaling System must never be over ridden !! For ****s Sake!! .... This bit of track... Straight for 20km!! How hard can it ****ing be!

having worked as a contractor for the rail industry, i can tell you that nothing ever happens quickly. (the exception to this is when the drug testing van turns up on track & the maintenance boys are working- you have never seen otherwise sedentary blokes run so fast...)
