This may have already been mentionned before but does anyone know where I could buy a vaccum bag with pump and for how much?
I heard about home made ones using old fridge pumps and thats probably what I'm gonna end up doing, but if I can get a proper one not too expensive it would be nice...

You can just make a bag out of plastic. Ideally vaccum plastic from a resin supplier. However, heavy black plastic from bunnings works for small jobs. ie.windsurfers/kiteboards. If you cant get tacky tape just join the bag with duck tape. If you do it carefully you will get 100% vaccum every time.

Ring a couple of plastic bag suppliers and ask them if they have any 'tubes' these are continuous lengths of plastic bag (eg open at both ends) and the widths I've used are 500mm & 800 mm (for wider boards) To seal both ends simply get a couple of lengths of alluminium 'U' channel, (The one I use is about 10mm wide externally) and plastic tubing (like the clear 6 or 8mm stuff at Bunnings) then lye the end of the bag over this channel and push in the lenghth of plastic tube. The system is quick, resealable and reliable and I've reused my current bag about 10 times so far. For the connect to the pump I've got a high pressure plastic elbow connector from a hose supplier that is threaded on one end (which I screwed into the bag with the nut on the inside of the bag) and has a spring loaded collar on the other for quick connect /disconnecton into your pump hose works a treat. To stop the bag sucking in at this point I use a sock with a few plastic scourering pads in it

Good trick crashtest, I'll try that next time. I've been using windscreen
sealing roll, but it's a bit too sticky, sometimes comes apart OK but often I loose 20mm of bag.
