On the strength of this one post and from one view of this video I was hooked and bought two - sent the clown fish to a friend. This would have to be up there as one of the best ebay panic buying decisions I've ever made.

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/General-Discussion/Chat/Flying-fish

Mine arrived a few weeks ago and I just assembled it after being out of the country for a few weeks.

When I got home from work today all I was thinking about was playing with my inflatable shark. This has to be the greatest invention since the iphone.

But does the guy/babe who invented it get any credit? NO

Does he/she get to mingle with the President? NO

Will he/she ever get a biography written about him/her read by millions? NO

He's/She's in the 99%.

F'ckn Hero in my book - whoever he/she is.

(I tried to post this on the original thread - but wasn't allowed - the thread was too old)

No, but a great story all the same - thanks for sharing.

I'd like to send them the clown fish. But I'm a bit worried that their house may have been foreclosed. I don't think these things work real well in trailers - the turning circle isn't that great.

Just hold in there Galah - all your birthdays may come true at once.

I'm currently in "high level" negotiations with a highly respected b2b wholesaler from Guangdong, China to purchase 24 of them. It's all legit and above the table at chris-shop.

My idea is to set up a little stall in Chaddy or Southlands, fly a couple of them around the shopping centre while people are panic buying for xmas. And if my dream fails - I'll just sell the rest of them on ebay and seabreeze. When I sell out - which they will - I'll buy some more from Guangdong. I'm gunna be f'kn rich beyond my wildest dreams.

Adolf you are on an absolute winner! the video is pretty funny, when people tire of the fish thing maybe get other flying thing's made like occasion stuff ie, Halloween specials for instance, re freaky severed heads, limbs and stuff like that or even food, cheesecakes, birthday cakes, or clothing, shoes, really an endless supply.
It would be pretty funny seeing those things flying around the shopping centres, now your talk'n, it would be worth making movies just on reactions ps,sorry 'bout the weirdo thoughts

Ebay, search 'air swimmer', starting at around 20 bucks, I haven't bought one yet, mostly because I can't be bothered driving 110 k's to the nearest florist/party hire to get it filled.

Amazingly, they've arrived from China..... And these are the new improved generation with auto swim function and rechargeable battery.

PM me if you want a shark or a clownfish?

As a special deal for Seabreeze members I'm selling em for $40.00 including registered post or $43 including express post to anywhere in Australia.

You won't be disappointed, unless you get drunk and fly them outside - like I did on the w/e.

Hey Adolf - can ya get your own helium tanks, maybe disposable canisters or something, or do you have to go to a shop to get em filled?

I like the look of them.

I just did a search on google and I think Big W may have helium kits available, personally I'd imagine this would the expensive way to go.

I found it easy enough to fill it up in the party shop around the corner for $7. Once filled it lasts for a couple of weeks.

I hate to go against the grain here and rain on your little stand, but these are $12 Alibaba knock-off's... The originals are Air Swimmers designed and made by WMC.

This is kind of like selling downloaded DVD's... not sure how happy you'd be if somebody was selling your intellectual property... I'm sure you didn't know.

Even though I quoted you, it was kind of directed at Adolf... no big deal it's just a couple of them, unless he intends to make a squillion out of them .

I don't know about that. It would need to be researched a bit more.

My take on it is WMC just market a line of flying fish. The "about us" page doesn't say anything about inventing/owning them.

I got my first Air Swimmer from America and there is no WMC on the box and it looks identical to what's on the video. - Not sure what's going on there.

I then got 24 from China and they are better quality than the first one I got. Remote is better, has a rechargeable battery and an auto swim function - everything else is identical. - Not sure what's going on there.

From what I can tell there are several different boxes all containing the same parts. Some of them are called flying fish, some air swimmers some flying shark, some air ranger. Some I've seen have different controllers. What they all have in common is that the are "Made in China" - Not sure what's going on there.

The fact is airswimmers.com don't ship to Australia. - Not sure what's going on there.

What I do know is that yesterday they were voted the number one toy of the season by adweek and I have sold out completely in just two days.

www.adweek.com/creativity/seasons-15-hottest-toys-watch-tv-ads-136314/

Real or fake? who knows and who cares as long as they work.

^^^^^ Mate , (as long as it's legal of course), I applaud anyone doing the hard yard to make success out of something - hope it's a cult success for you.
....did note that you made mention of the person who invented it too

They sure are all made in China.
This guy invented them: www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.php?u=353945
WMC designed them and owns the Air Swimmer brand.

The rest are copies

No idea about patents... no worries good luck.

Where exactly on the airswimmers.com website does it say that? You would think they would be screaming it from rooftops if they actually did own it?

I can only see this on the website: http://www.x-zylo.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=110

I think they just got successful marketing flying fish.

questions , before i out lay my hard earned on one of these tools!

1 what range does it have ?

2 would it carry a live rabbit [ large size] and deposit it in my neighbours back yard?

by way of a small basket suspended under the air swimmer, landed, allowing bugs to get out .

then return to base to pick up more payload. ?

Well heaps has happened in a week.

New stock has arrived - I've got Sharks and Clownfish and lots of em.

I also finished building my website: http://www.air-swimmer.com.au - I hope you like it.

Don't waste your money of rubbish fads like Scalextrics or Paint by Numbers sets - those things are all destined for landfill.

As a special to all seabreeze members I'm virtually giving these things away.

Just type "conspiracy" into the promotion code box on the website and pay $40 each (including express post) via paypal or pay $40 into my bpay account and email me your address and I'll post one out to you tomorrow.

Hey, if you live in Melbourne you can even save yourself a further $10 by picking it up or I can drop it to you - fricken easy eh?

Buy in bulk and save even more.
