My wife and i bought our first ever boat back in March, and we are pretty chuffed with it, it's one of them dang fangled power type boat type thing's, you know, with a dirty great big V8 under the back.

We both sat for our licence last year etc, we got that all done OK and done early so we would be legal and have half a clue what were doing......

SO, WHY IS IT, that we have had more wind in the last 2 months than all year before we bought the bloody thing?

I'm sure the wind hasn't dropped under about 400knots yet, well, it seems like it when you're new to all this boating thing.

The only bloody calm days we've had, we've had to work, and as we own our own business, i'm too bloody tight to pay myself a sick day, cause we spent all the money on the bloody boat.

Geez, woman, get my pills, i'm about to have another episode shortly....

Oh well, i'll go back to my corner now, form the crouching position and start rocking backwards and forwards while humming to myself.

Cheers, Fat Kev.

P.S. We are going to Tangalooma tomorrow, so, if ya parked over there and ya see someone who looks nervous, eyes like dinner plates, the pucker factor written all over his face and heading the wrong way, that'll be us, so best ya get out of our way.

HTFU and head out in weather OVER 5 knots. Im sure those ripples on the boat ramp look scary to a beginner, but if you force yourself to go out, soon you will be overconfident enough to get yourself in serious trouble like many amateur boaties!

I've got a friend who is the same.

Him: "Gee, it's windy today."
Me: "Windy... what the? Would I be here if it was windy? You see those reflections on the water?"

When I was addicted to fishing.....constant wind every weekend and every other day where I managed a day off to go fishing...

...now, addiction is windsurfing (due to the fact that it was always too windy to fish), and not a breath of wind on the weekends and days off!

WHAT DID I DO TO UPSET YOU HUEY???

Upside is...going for bike rides with fam, getting work done on house...
