Perth rider William Pike got a three-month contract ride in Hong Kong and is scheduled to go back to the Asian racing capital. The jockey rode in Hong Kong during the '09 -'10 season and has returned for various big races over the past two years. He has ridden 59 winners in Perth this season to lead the city's jockey's premiership by 21-1/2 wins.
On April 25, Pike will start working as a retained Hong Kong Jockey Club rider and will remain there until the end of the racing season. In the other news, star galloper Ambitious Dragon which is the first Hong Kong contingent has flew to Dubai on Thursday to compete at Meydan on March 31 at the rich Dubai World Cup meeting.
Joining him are the Group I Al Quoz Sprint aspirants Joy And Fun and Eagle Regiment. California Memory and Xtension will also leave for Dubai on Saturday morning along with Lucky Nine, who will run in the Group I Golden Shaheen.
