Thinking of going there as an alternative to Gnaraloo this October. Any good for surfing/windsurfing? Is there a camp site there?

Yardi creek is in part of the Exmouth national park area (cant remember its proper name)
I dont think you can camp right at the creek, but there are so called "eco parks" all along that piece of coast.
CALM charge something like $10 or more a night for the right to camp at a spot with an eco toilet and nothing else (no water for example), same sort of conditions as Corros.
mostly flat water spots, but there are a couple of wave locations (you will need to talk to the locals to find out where they are)

Beautiful piece of coastline.

You can camp at Yardie Creek station, which is something like 40ks away from Yardie Creek

Yep surfed it heaps. Its heavy( but not death) but makable just watch out for the end section called Dumptrucks. You wil need a boat

You can camp at the creek, its a CALM managed site with a drop toilet.

I had better not say anymore as i have probably said too much already

You have to be self sufficient on land and a mile off shore there's no one to save you but the sharks. Check ningalooexcape.com.au if you need self sufficient accommodation in the national park

Camped at Yardi Ck last summer. Watch out for the light-fingered midnight wallaby. No facilities but a long drop. Sailed off the beach there, no one else about. Keep a lookout for turtles. Heard later on that more sailors go out up the northern end of the park, near the caravan park/lighthouse maybe?
