Was just trawling the net looking at speed sailing records, and came across this one:

You should also check out the mad Euro's who carry a sail on their back and Ice skate at 80kmh+ accross lakes.

Actually 80kmh was achieved early last century with wooden frames and canvas, the new sails and skates are quicker.

it's impressive watching them lean on the sail and just go hamering along for miles.

Looks like fun, as long as you dont fall or make a nice catapult
I guess i prefer to sail over nice warm water even if its a bit slower.

'Kalgoorlie Western Australia.
Just below that is Lake Lefroy
31.11 S ---------121.47 E sort of.
Big white patch.
