If only your backs were all like that we'd stand a chance.

Come on England, get on with it and get better for gawds sake :(

One of the best games (scrums excluded) that the Wallabies have put together in a long time. Dean's youth policy looks to be a master stroke and Rugby stocks are solid for next year's RWC.

The entire backline were superb and it hurts to say Burgess probably saved himself from never playing for the Wallabies again (although there is always next week). How good are they going to be with Sanchez back next week too. Just need Robinson, Moore & Alexander fit.

PS - Poor old Choco wouldn't be feeling the same level of excitment with his beloved Greece.

I am glad you guys feel confident! That front row must be feeling sore and sorry. Hate to think what will happen when they come up against the Blacks. I support Australia and anyone who is playing England but those dinosaurs gave the front row a lesson.

The England backs may as well have been cardboard cutouts.

Drew Mitchell and Quade Cooper had a stormer though. Imagine how good they could be with scrum ball going foreard!

the england forwards dominated but the backs were **e . the aussies played very well and deserved the win completely. the aussie forwards better get their game together though or there will be 90 penalty tries every game!! the backs were pretty good. very good game in my opinion good job i had tickets to go see it!!

no doubt the english forwards dominated in the scrums but where were they in the breakdown. to old to run....

australia had very quick ball against the poms. was great to see....

i think the blacks is a very different game. form doesn't really matter. for some reason both sides lift when they play each other and the form card goes out the window.

but like sausage said above. australia looks to be getting back to where we were several years ago. once a decent coach was employed and all of the NRL players were ditched things could only get better.

This thread seems to have gone cold for some reason.....

No comments about Saturdays match then

Everything said above is spot on, England were dependant on old blood. Arrival at breakdown was left to our backs only for the fwds to arrive and jump at the side Pointles aimless kicking straight to your attacking backs put us under uneccassary pressure.
Thankfully we well and trully taught you a lesson in the scrum and watched your front row crumble YET AGAIN - and thats without Sherriden in there. You should have put us out of sight but you did deserve the win NO QUESTION.

Saturday however, finally saw our new blood. What a difference. Accurate kicking (early on anyway) good scrumming and intelligent play in the backs.
We should have cleared you by a score but hats off, you adapted.
Great tries from both sides and a great game to watch - and well done, better scrumming

Damn Gitau had to have that 1 in 1000 miss from right in front!! Kicking was the difference in the end.

Good game though, lots of passion from both sides - been a while since I have seen that many blow ups in a Rugby game .

England played some great rugby in a complete turnaround from last game. They put pressure on our backline who were expecting to have it all thier own way again and were caught out. In fact England played an open attacking Wallaby type game to great effect.

Whilst I agree we were outmatched in the scrum again, it was not as bad as the week before. We did a lot better, and there were few backward steps in our scrums. The ref was guessing most of the time in his scrum penalties, he had no idea. Also remember it is not our normal front row with Robinson and Alexander out injured.

Strategically I think that game did more for the Wallaby's than I have seen in a long time. It woke them up and gave them a taste of what they are going to face in the Tri nations. Hopefully they are learning from that and will be better prepared to deal the likes of the All Blacks.

I would strongly recommend getting it on I=player or something.

It was a cracker, ok Australia lost but as a rugby fan its a great game to watch, fast, well matched, stunning tries and plenty of passion

I wish there had been a third test just to round things off now they were getting started.

Kiwis tore the Irish a new hole so Id brace yourself lads - could get ugly

I was in Paris for the World Cup Final. Stacks of Aussies and Kiwis milling around trying to sell tickets (for an outrageous amount by the way!!).

What will 2012 bring eh? to lose your own world cup will be sad

there's a reason australia enter comps as favourites and england don't.

hmm, last nights game was, well, umm, worrying.......

glad we won, good to see the ref didn't wear his irish jumper.
