I sailed off the south west tip of Bribie Island - Bongaree. I estimate the wind was 30-35 SW I was using a 4.0m / wave board and getting overpowered in the gusts (70 kg).

Actually this is a great spot in a SW as the wind is onshore and fairly consistent since there is about a 15km fetch for the wind to fill in before it hits Bribie. Although its still chop, no swell. Does anyway else ever sail here? Some kitesurfers (aus240?) were just leaving when I got there (11am).

Oi! Mitch... well at least that explains the aus195 and aus240 thing... but mate, no matter how well anyone went, he didn't give up and take up kiting, he still has some of his sail stuff, and is now damn good at kiting !

He got really good relly fast... It's called a natural... lol

Mitch... hey do u work at Goodtime Your name sounds familiar from somewhere and that's the only place I could place a sailer named Mitch... and I'm not thinking of Mick cuz hes a kiter there... Don't think ive seen you there out of all the times i have gone there, so maybe you don't... Later anyways

Sunday was bordering on insanity wasn't it! I was at Wello and I had to break out my old tristop north ezzy wave from 1985 coz it was too strong for my other sails. You really appreciate how far sails have come after having to go back to the old stuff but it still worked

Cheers

ahh Mike.. you found the 'nice' forum section here also I see...

lol- Tell me about it! How lucky are those guys that just live soooo close 2 the beach or where the kite, sail or windsurf! They can just walk there!

lol- well a pulled muscle in a lot of cases can be worse than a broken bone also, so don't feel bad about that mate... It happens to everyone...

I think it would make it easier for me if I wasn't a girl, because it doens't look to hot me going to uni, arriving at work or going out with bruises, cuts and scratches from the cable park and kiting - It's worth it all in the end though
