percussionist, congas to be exact..pops gave me and bro a used set and gave us pointers in 7/8ths rythm never understood that then we were in jr. high..so i kept on flapping it listening to latin samba and jazz and accompany it on the radio..then i started collecting cowbells, quickas, shakers, chimes..etc. and tried to invite friends who were active musicians and tried to jam with them even though my beat was a bit off..i was shy in front of strangers so had to had a couple of brews before trying to..then i saw sheila e. daughter of tito puente man what a timbale player i borrowed one and tried that too then a fire gutted our family house down and all was gone except for the samba whistle..since it was expensive to get it all back i started playing the piano and flute but with no chord knowledge and to my surprise i could improvise..it was all widow..if only i could rewind time maybe it could have been a different path

thanks to my dad for forcing us to take piano lessons even if we thought it was gayish when we where kids

and you
