Put it on autopilot and let it run over you a dozen times or so, it may knock some sense into you

You're right about that. We generally HATE the f'n things. Anywhere a LONG way from anyone else is acceptable.
I'm unfamiliar with WA so I can't give you a better recommendation than that.

Actually it's odd how we do tend to overreact to jet skis.

I guess its because they are noisy dangerous and intrusive and frequently sailed by ignorant yahoos who don't give a rats ass about common courtesy and know nothing about boating safety rules.

Yep! I guess that's it. Aren't we a bunch of intolerant grumpy old men.

I've bought a new chainsaw.

Is there a chainsaw club in Perth?

Does anyone know any good places in Perth I can go to chop trees and shrubs and stuff.
I prefer to chainsaw with people around.

Just use your common sense and avoid areas were there are surfers, windsurfers, kiters, swimmers or people having a nice peaceful picnic on the banks of the river etc.
None of us will be impressed at how fast you can go or how good you can ride so you don't need to do it in front of an audience.

I have had several bad experiences with jetski's and absolutely hate them.
Once I was out at Little Island enjoying a surf midweek with only myself and a mate out, it was perfect a decent size swell, glassy as and only the sound of the waves crashing......Bliss..... until a jetski appeared.
He could have gone anywhere along the reef that streches for miles to jump the waves but no he hung around within metres of us scaring the **** out of us at times as he jumped over waves and on one occassion he crashed down within about a metre of me.
What would have been a perfect day was ruined by noise, fumes and fear.

Please be considerate and think of others.

Did you take the rego number and report him to your marine regulator?

From memory he didn't have one, it was in the early days of jetskiing and I don't think they were registered in those days.
I remember being that angry at the time that I certainly would have if he had one, the more we yelled at him the closer and faster he went.
