the executioner gives them a choice to be hanged or guillotine.

the englishman decides to choose the guillotine, the blade comes down stops 6 inches from his neck. the executioner says its your lucky day + the englishman walks off a relieved man.

same with the scotsman, he chooses the guillotine again it stops 6 inches short of his neck.the executioner again says its your lucky day and are free to go.

the irishmans turn to choose the guillotine or the rope. he responds i am not choosing the guillotine as it does not work properly.
