Hey all, thought I would write and comment on an event that impacted me yesterday. Now, being older I tend to get a little forgetful at times,OAAADS, ( thats Old Age Activated Attention Deficit Syndrome ) and so after being in the water at Brighton and having the wind drop my kite on some poor unsuspecting person as I was coming in to land it, I was a bit concerned with finding him appoligising to him etc, so I got a bit distracted as I was gearing down. Consequently, I finished up leaving my bar and lines lying on the beach and drove off home wondering if I had been tagged as a nuisance due to the fact that I am also a learner. I know a little better now. I know that they are a great bunch of guys there and accept me as I am. Anyway, I gave it no more thought as the floods then came and buggered everything up and we spent a few days cleaning up the foreshore etc, which we managed to make a bit of fun of as we wrestled with the huge water tank that just did,nt want to play the game. So when the wind came back, and the kiting thoughts entered my brain again, yes, they have to take turns getting in due to limited space , my attention turned to my gear and checking it out, argh, shock and horror, my bar and lines were not with my 8mtr GK Sonic,my first kite, the one that treated me so badly as I was learning and forced me to buy a new one from Jason at BrisKites, arh, panic, what do I do.??Went and annoyed the guys at BrisKites, no luck, went to the beach, and who should show up but Steve, who luckily for me, was there the day it all went down, and picked up my gear and safely kept it ,not knowing who,s it was. I was very happy when he asked, was it for a GK Sonic, i said yes and he handed it to one relieved kiter. My number one is all together again, funny how ya get sentimental over a bit of gear, Thanks Steve, that carton is on its way mate. Clarrie88

I lost two boards in Pinnaroo and it is thanks to this site that I got one of them back.

We have that attitude in Stockton, where everyone helps each other out.

Good on you Seabreeze!

Good for you Clarrie, glad you got it back.
It's funny people use to give him so much crud, but over the years he has tought more people and found and returned more gear than most people realize. Him and his daughters are part of that beach.

Finally got a good rap there Punty poo, must be the first one on this forum..
