Im trying to get my new mp3 player to work, but every file I try to play that was originally ripped from a CD wont play , but only on my player.
any suggestions?

Are you sure they're .mp3 files?
A lot of CD rippers save .wav files as default.

Some mp3 players are also fussy about bitrate and frequency, 128 and 44khz are about average.

My car player won't play any mp3 tracks that are in folders, yet my home system will.

Always rip to flac and avoid everything that won't play flac

Apple is just soo common, that it's uncool... and it even sounds LoFi, but that's what you get when you commission the cheapest chinese crap you can and put it in a nice box.

Apple didn't get to number 1 with quality, they got there with fashion.

The iPod rocks though, especially with AirPlay and the half dozen or so music apps I use like SoundCloud and SOMA FM. It's also wafer thin and has everything the iPhone has.

If you bypass the iPood's DAC, you're sweet.

imho they got to number 1 because of Steve's complete intolerance of crap. Their stuff just works, and keeps on working... unlike most of the competitors who go with the cheapest solution, get the firmware sort of working and flog it off with a razor thin margin.

I just had a meeting and there was a guy with a Mac Air plugged in to the projector, kept saying "I don't know why it isn't working".

I've never had an issue with a portable media player going all the way back to my Walkman.

Oh wait I did with an iPood classic, couldn't charge it.
