With the continued disrespect toward our traditional fbombs and c words, not to mention the s word (over use in the media, casual use around the water cooler, teenagers bragging rights etc) is it time for a new high potency, "untouchable" swear word? A word that has the ability to shock when pulled out for times of need when full impact is required? The traditional swear words seem to evolve from intercourse, poo and Vagina, what could substitute these?

Typical Anglo Saxon, maybe we should look at other cultures for inspiration.
I think there are a few that are religion derived, blasphemy of one sort or another.

I think in a secular culture where body functions have no taboos on them, it's going to be hard to find a good swear word.

I had never heard of felching until a few years ago. Plain weird thing to do!

For my own attempt to change swearwords, a few years ago I went with the idea that the traditional words had to do with potential disease vectors. ie Blood, sex and turds. So I figured that cigarette brand names would do just as well. It didn't work all that well. Call a man a fag and he might get upset, but shout Marlboro Man at him and there is no reaction.
