If you put a GPS on the dash of a modern car with an electronic speedo you'll most likely find that you are actually doing around 4kmh less than what you thunk you were

If you really care..... Reg204 Road Traffic Code 2000.
Can break any traffic code regulation if on official business.

They may be watching a car 1km ahead that you can't see and using radar to get a speed on it. Going to a urgent job but are getting close so don't want to use sirens. List goes on....

i discovered in vic that there are radar speed checks that tell you how fast you are going, my ute was doing 5km less at 110km/h which is exactly what my GPS was telling me
Then got pulled over outside ceduna for a rego check, i asked the copper how fast he radared me at and the answer was exactly what my gps was telling me

Lots of cops get caught in speed cameras. They land in the poo for it. That's the one thing speed cameras have going for them. They are indiscriminate.

Here's a conundrum. The police in Qld, and presumably other states as well, have discretion as to whether or not they act on a traffic offence. So when they put a speed trap on a hill that is safe to speed on, that has never had an accident, they are obviously not there in the interests of public safety. I wonder if that could be construed in a court of law as harassment.

I have found in the reading of various vehicle manuals and other literature that most vehicle speedometers, being inherently imperfect, are set slightly higher than actual speed so that there is no chance they could ever read lower, resulting in unknown excess of speed. I know both my ute and my bike are like this.

Who cares if they speed. The faster they get somewhere they need to be the better.

Exactly, you wont be crying about their speeding when you need them and bear in mind they have 25 noise nuisance calls to clear first also.

Anyone watched super bad? I pretty much have come to the conclusion they are like that. They hoon for no apparent reason but should should anyone else do... they're/your farked.

This happened on new years eve:
Two police cars where driving down st georges terrace, they dragged off the lights down one end as if they where off to fight some real crime (haha) and then had to stop for a pedestrian light 200m later, if they where on a call then they would have had sirens on and gone through the pedestrian crossing. (although slowly)

They obviously where having a macho sesh between the two cars.

just follow them at their speed
if the homo is just speeding cause he/she is the lawr they prob wont pull u up anyway, and if they are on a call they will be too busy to pull you up.
ive seen them do this many times.

in general coppers do a pretty good job under very ****ty circumstances, for f++k all money.
Im happy to let them do their thing (not .122 of course) and give them the benefit of the doubt. Harrassing them over the most minor pathetic things is stupid. All the bulls++t over a teenager with a knife getting tasered etc is crap. They should taser him a couple more times in the lockup later just so he would remember what it was like.

Having inquiries for weeks over why some loser druggie crim got shot or tasered is unfair. Decisions are made on the spur of the moment. Imagine if that guy the cop in Karratha shot turned out to be a church going family man on his way to hospital or a 15 year old "local" instead of a double rape murderer he would have been crucified.

Be grateful we have a strong and fair (though not perfect) police force and especially (in WA) that we have a straight, stand-up type commissioner whos prepared to clean up the bad cops

Now kids throw stones at police when they are trying to control a party.

This would not happen if they could use their guns (in self defence).[}:)]

just had a thought about stone throwing riots why cant the police shoot them with paintball guns with a semi permanent die & tear gas take the fight out of them so they run away & either they hide for six months or they can be picked up later different colours for different riots
