Hi realplayer,
I believe that buying anything via this site is no different to buying something from the 'quokka'(W.A.) or any ad. You really need to speak to them on the ph. satisfy youself it is what you want and then preferably go & see the item. I also have a belief that one shouldnt waste their time putting a thread up asking questions or negotiating via that thread - people have been burnt doing this with other people interjecting in the thread either saying the item is no good/too expensive/cheap etc.etc.- do any negotiations in private via the ph. or whatever. If you do happen to buy something sight unseen - then perhaps you can arrange with the seller any terms (such as return if unsatisfied with condition etc.); as long as you both agree (this should be written down & signed by both parties. Otherwise the old saying applies as with buying anything s/hand - Let the buyer beware! (But let the seller be ethical!)
My two bobs worth - Cheers, Gary.

Realplayer,

I've bought about 5 items over the internet, ranging from a $20 fin, to a $1000 second hand board. I always direct deposit the money into their account, and then wait for the item to arrive in the post. Had no problems so far. Best to ask a couple of questions about the item to ascertin its quality and condition. I may have been lucky, but have found people on this site to be quite reasonable and honest to deal with.

Regards,
Harrow.
