Just a thought. If Amy Winehouse's name had been Amy Milkbar would she still be with

us? A bit fatter possibly, but alive nonetheless.

I actually didn't mean to joke about it. I was really wondering about the corelation

between peoples names and their occupation and even their behaviour. There are

plenty of examples of people with distintive names being involved in occupations

that match. Cardinal Jaime Sin is former head of the Catholic Church in the

Philippines. Prof. John Wisdom is an American philosopher etc. I wonder how many

people named carpenter became carpenters. I also wonder why in WA the real

estate industry is littered with names like Hooker,Handcock and Alcock. How big an

influence are names to occupation and behaviour?

Thanks for this. Very interesting. It doesn't really explain Alcock and Hancock though.

Awww c'mon. I'm sure you can figure out the search terms that brought these gems to light;

http://www.cocksauld.com.au/

www.clarkrealty.com.au/real_estate_members_club.asp

www.facebook.com/pages/RealCore-Realty-Jeff-Dicks/359739680538

It's an interesting phenomenon though. New Scientist have been covering it for at least 5 years, perhaps more, and it's not limited to male bits either.
