i am looking for information on how to develop negitives with out a light box can it be done. if i have to use a light box what kind of wattage bullbs should be used and how long is the exposer and information would be great
What are you trying to do kaos? Thought I was reasonably up with photography, but I've no idea what you're talking about! I've made contact prints by exposing them to the sun, but I have a feeling this is what you want to do.
Yeah Sorry! Exposing screens with a negative for screenprinting. Have you done this before using the sun? If so how long did you expose it for - ha ha ha i'm talking about the screen
Sorry Kaos, should have taken more notice of your subject line. I just saw exposing negatives and thought photography. I haven't done any screen printing. Guess you could just experiment, if the stuff isn't too expensive. If you have contact a point source isn't necessary, so you could do that in the shade, but the further away the screen and negative are the more a point source is needed.
Howdy Kaos. I worked at a screen printers for work experience when 15. Not sure if things have changed, but back then they had a lightbox with an ultraviolet lamp in it which cooked the surface of a material called fivestar (think thats what it was called) any part of the fivestar surface not hidden behind something like the ink on a transparent photocopy sheet, was exposed to the lamp and could be washed away after the burning process, and what was left became their stencil
if only it was that easy .i think its time to get the hell back to the east coast the wind here is crap and its now getting cold . got some where for me to stay all i need is a little push
