Greetings,
How are you today ? I am Sgt. David Smith, an American soldier serving in the Military 3rd Infantry Division here in Afghanistan. Firstly, I'd like to apologize for using this medium to contact you as it is my last option. I found your details in one of the Online directories and decided to intimate you with a business transaction that i believe can change our lives.
During one of my night patrol duties, i stumbled into a storage vault containing Cash amounting to Sixteen million two hundred thousand United States Dollars in a dilapidated building , mostly 100 dollar bills tightly tied in $1000.00 bundles. I kept this money in a secret place for a while, but for security reasons i had to make a confidential arrangement with an accountant at the Bank of Baghdad to lodge the money in his name.
However, my main reason contacting you is because i shall be leaving Afghanistan in next fewweeks to return home finally and i can not take home with me CASH as it is not allowed, so i will need to effect a wire transfer of the money before i leave Afghanistan to someone very trustworthy and honest. To this effect, I wish to solicit your partnership in moving this money out of Afghanistan IMMEDIATELY, here is a war zone and as soldiers there are limitations to what we can do.

All i need a is a reliable, trustworthy and competent individual that will receive the money for me. I have sat with the accountant and we have structured out the plan on how to achieve a successful wire transfer without any hitch nor breach of law.
I am prepared to give you Thirty Five percent of the money.
My utmost question is Can I trust you? Can i rely on your competence and ability to keep secret.
If you are interested and you know you are capable, contact me via my private email thus :[email protected] so i can give you further details and the structured plan to achieve success I look forward to your message Thank you and God bless
Sgt. David Smith

Please note : Transaction of this magnitude is best kept a secret, until its successful execution.
It is a hundred Percent risk free

That sounds like an awfully inefficient way to store money

If you are up for some sport (although not zero risk) try: www.419eater.com/html/baiting.htm

Doc, you're so lucky!!! If I were you, I'd be buying everything & putting it on credit card, once you get your cut you'll be able to clear your card!

Some people get all the breaks!

Reminds me of the movie Three Kings (set in first gulf war, top flick)

In that the soldiers got caught so I really think Sgt Smith is telling porkies.

Strange that he found the money in Afghanistan but he contacted a banker in Baghdad. Unless there is another Baghdad in Afghanistan then I guess this simple soldier already jetsets around the Middle East and should be able to organise a trip to the UAE and take the cash with him.
