I was swimming/diving at Curl Curl sydney, and I saw a jellyfish @ -4m that looked like a box, the size of my palm with 4 light brown tentacles.

Kind of like the below but much larger, and more transparent.

We've been noticing them on the south coast for the last couple of years..

My brother was adamant they were box jellyfish, I didn't believe him, so I threw one and hit him in the face

Apart from screaming like a girl at the shock of an unidentified jellyfish to the face...

He was fine

first one I've seen... I was diving down, stumbled upon it.
plenty of the usual

so you sure they don't sting?
I have this bad tendency of attracting stringers, I've got the scars to prove it, and I go far out by myself.

They have a purple brainy bit in the middle of the transparent head and thin purple tentacles/stingers on the corners of the box...

Hit him smack bang in the side of the face

they say "no sense no feeling", therefore my brothers probably not the best gineapig so maybe they do sting
