If you don't like commercial places then you'll go nuts on the gold coast... wind's pretty much the same I think, I'd go sunshine coast if it were me.

Sunshine coast (at least you'll be able to have a shower up there
!) ooops, sorry, I see you are a pom.

I'll go drown my sorrows now after last saturday. You are to be congratulated for not putting in the slipper after 1/4 final.

Good thing u are moving to the rugby state next year or u may have needed to hire some security if making the trip from the mother land while the memory of defeat is still fresh in our minds

cheers for the replys !
I guess the sunshine coast would offer a more relaxed way of life .
the gold coast looks a busy place.
anyone recommend a good town on the coast with easy commute to nambour.
whats your predictions v France?

I dont know about the east coast, but i heard western australia is a crowded crap hole. A rediculous population density, scorching day time, and frigid nights. Not nice.
And the france game, well I hope england get so hammered they will be afraid to go back home. So afraid they will come and hide in Australia, then we can give wilkonson and his friends a piece of our minds.

If you had to live right near the coast, then my preference for quiet living would be Maroochydore north - say Mujimba, Perigian Beach etc. Getting pretty expensive around there these days.

If you don't want to live right near the coast, then quite a number of the hinterland villages around Nambour are nice - Yandina for instance

Buderim would be a good compromise - about half way between beach and Nambour.

Nemo, your new avatar sucks, I'll kindly send Johhny "one kick" some laxatives to take that strained look off his face.
