Travelling to Queensland in acouple of weeks to do theme parks,was hoping to catch some surf to keep the sanity alive,time out etc.Staying around Broad Beach area.
Just after some info,
1 where to surf
2 Do I need a wetsuit
3 Mini-mal or short-board \do I take mine or hire
4 Any good sites apart from Coastal-cam

Easy one, used to live there...
1 - Front beach at Broady usually has a few clean breaks,, otherwise you'll need a car
2 - Only if your a namby-pamby (bring a shorty)
3 - Short board unless your over 55 (mals are illegal unless you hold a pensioner discount card)
4 - Dunno, just get out there!
