If you zoom on the cockpit in you might be able to make out the captain saying something
Is this the way that clean green NZ power their aircraft now rather than jet fuel?

Aircraft are struck by lightning most days (or nights). It makes little to no difference.
ps I spent 9 years flying for a living.
