Cadel came 7th - this is a good thing, surely. I remain surprised at Le Tour guys not ever doing well at adjacent Olympics (yet the prior Olympics were never so hot off the end of the TdF, as this event in London is).
Lance won The Tour in 2000, but came 3rd in the time trial(!) in the same year.
Cadel was 14th at Beijing, but as we know, cleaned up in France last year.
The three Brits (one of them African) did well for the past three weeks - how will they go at the Olympics, home-turf or not?
Sorry for the cat photos, but my opinion is they are Different events, a tour is like a marathon, where as a one day event is like a sprint, sometimes guys do both well. But usually someone who specialises in one day type events or winning stages of the tours will win the road race, I'd say Cavendish will win the road race and Cancellara will win the time trial, he is a specialist at the TT, wiggins is a good TT but will probably finish top 3-5.
