sorry about the following rant but this stuned me...

Took my partner to RPH late saturday night with a few issues as she was 8 wwks
pregnant was seen almost straight away was held till about 3 am in that time the
staff at RPH orginised a refferal to king Edward for first thing in the morning this
also included written and verbal contact with the other hospital.

on arriving at king Edward early the next morning was told that thay had no refreal and when seeing our copy of the letter was told there was no doctor there by that name and there was know way there would have been a referal, the staff were so aragent we were stunned it took standing at reseption insisting that someone find out what the hell was going on that a very stoubben nurse gave in and decided to find out the hell we were on about. Then to our astonasment return to admit that there was a refferal and to find a scape goat to blame .
APPARNTLY WA'S largest womans hospital only has ONE person who
can carry out an scan this whole ordeal took over 5 hours only to reslt in the lose
of a baby and a compeat Lack of any form of perfesonal conduct by most of the staff in the department in this time. now i am not saying that things would have been diffrent becouse thats not the case but THE WAY WOMAN AND THERE FAMILYS ARE TREATED DURING MISCARRIAGES BY WHAT IS MENT TO BE A FIRST CLASS ESTABLISHMENT IS AN EMBEASMENT TO MOST OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED.
